This method is based on Mask R-CNN models with CNN and Transformers architectures for segmenting abnormally shaped nuclei. We propose to add an edge awareness loss to the mask prediction step of the Mask R-CNN to provide additional awareness of the ab- normally shaped nuclei boundary.
