The interim evaluation of #InvestEU is out! Halfway through its lifetime, #InvestEU is already playing a key role by unlocking private and public investments towards a more sustainable and competitive EU. #InvestEU provided robust support to the EU economy through a broad range of financial and advisory solutions across all main EU policy areas, such as investments in renewable energy production, clean industrial manufacturing and competitiveness of SMEs.

Today, Bpifrance was invited at the European Parliament to discuss the funding gaps for Europe's green reindustrialisation. An opportunity to share some thoughts:  👉 The need to act quickly  👉 Green reindustralisation means both supporting business' green transition and green techs 👉 Greater risk-taking by European financial instruments (guarantees, equity) is needed 👉 Wish for a comprehensive EU funding box that includes : innovation aid for deep tech; massive guarantee programmes to de-risk investment and crowd in private investment ; advisory services to businesses to accelerate their green transition; equity support for the development an industry-focused venture capital ecosystem 👉 The shortage of funding under InvestEU over the period 2025-2027 is an issue 👉 Avoid imposing constraints or rigid frameworks, companies need incentives Public business banks will keep on acting as implementing partners of the European Commission and the EIB Group to address these challenges. #ELTI #InvestEU Pascal Lagarde Ronan Bourgeois Isabelle Bébéar Christian Dubarry Daniel Demeulenaere Isabelle Albertalli Martina Colombo David Denzer-Speck Gabriel de Groot Helmut von Glasenapp

🔍 #Global #Investment #Trends: Foreign investors, particularly from the US, Hong Kong, and Singapore, have emerged as the leading purchasers of EU investment funds. This revelation comes from the latest industry data published by EFAMA, the Brussels-based fund and asset management industry association. 🌍 Europe: A Global Powerhouse in #FundDistribution: EFAMA describes Europe as an “uncontested giant in global fund distribution.” However, they caution against complacency, urging continuous innovation and competitiveness. #Luxembourg, home to nearly six trillion euro in global fund assets, finds itself in the heart of this development. 💰 #InvestmentInflows: Over the past five years, foreign investors have consistently invested an average of €276 billion annually into European funds. For context, cross-border investments within the EU averaged €174 billion, while domestic purchases stood at €196 billion. 📈 Substantial #Contributions: Non-EU investors not only bring in significant capital but also pay considerable management fees, estimated by EFAMA to be in the "tens of billions of euros" annually. This underscores the critical role of foreign investment in sustaining and growing the European fund ecosystem.
