The three diagonal squares of the solid are drawn in blue, red and green. T and V are the centers of the horizontal faces ABC and HLU. The upper face is ABC. The edge length is a. The diagonal length is a √2 ou AH. The slope of (AH ) is γ. The midpoint S of [VT ] is the center of the solid. The cross section of the solid by the horizontal plane passing through S is a regular hexagon with white sides. Its center is S, its side length is Its vertices are the midpoints of the six slanted edges of the octahedron.
