Deutsch: Denkmalgeschützte ev.-luth. Pfarrkirche Elsey in Hagen-Hohenlimburg. Die ehemalige Stiftskirche (siehe auch: Kloster Elsey) zählt zu den frühesten Sakralbauten im Raum Hagen und ist in ihrer ursprünglichen Baugestalt weitgehend erhalten geblieben. Erbaut vor 1222, erste urkundliche Erwähnung 1259. Die Kirche war Mittelpunkt des 1223 gegründeten Klosters, sowie des religiösen Lebens unterhalb der gräflichen Burg. Die dreischiffige und zweijochige spätromanische Hallenkirche zeigt noch heute ihre mittelalterliche Herkunft. Zahlreiche Um- und Einbauten im Innenraum wurden 1881/82 im neugotischen Stil durchgeführt. Die Kirche war Grablege von Angehörigen des Grafenhauses. Bemerkenswert ist das Epitaph für Graf Konrad Gumprecht im Chor und ein Zweites im Turmraum. Im Kirchhof befinden sich mehrere Grüfte adeliger Stiftsdamen. Grabdenkmale für den Stiftsprediger Johann Friedrich Möller, seines Nachfolgers Dr. Wilhelm Hülsemann u.a. befinden sich an der Kirche. This is a photograph of an architectural monument.
