Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article, Incompressible flow. While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments are more appropriate for the article's accompanying talk page. If you post your comments there, other editors working on the same article will notice and respond to them, and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. However, keep in mind that even on the talk page of an article, you should limit your discussion to improving the article. Article talk pages are not the place to discuss opinions of the subject of articles, nor are such pages a forum. Thank you. -- φ OnePt618Talk φ 04:36, 3 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@OnePt618: You misunderstood my intentions; the edit wasn't supposed to introduce my personal commentary. The paragraph was previously part of the article (I just reinstated it after it was removed without explanation), and was presumably intended to be part of the article. It looks to me like a way of mentioning to readers that "by the way, it is common in physics to assume flow to be incompressible, even when that isn't the case" which seems to me relevant enough to be included. If you still think it looks too much like commentary, I can try to rephrase it and/or move it to another section to make it more appropriate. Thtatithticth (talk) 05:39, 3 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I do think your edit feels a bit too much like personal commentary, and violates WP:NPOV. I'd be happy to help you edit it to make it more neutral. I appreciate your submission!---- φ OnePt618Talk φ 05:43, 3 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
