Because of this, today’s many important technological tools had a long-time, serious works in the context of theoretical background. At this point, Computer Science has a leading role in majority of technologies, which have been improving the daily life and ensuring both effectiveness and efficiency in problem solutions. As associated with this, engineering-based developments have been in close connection with the Computer Science. Furthermore, computational methodologies have been remarkably considered in dealing with the real-world problems, by modeling problem cases or solution techniques. In today’s conditions, digitally transformed world requires data-driven systems, which processes the data by using computational efforts and the known principles of Computer Science. Even some of innovative technologies appeared within previous century hold the leadership in shaping the future of technology. At this point, artificial intelligence is the most important innovation and technology area to evolve the efforts in engineering problems. As appropriate to these efforts, the technological infrastructure of the world has been changing rapidly in especially last decade.
The scientific part of technological innovations requires researchers to internalize the obtained knowledge and outcomes to think about further works and design something new to take the literature beyond the current state. This can be done through analysis of many research works, so reference works gathering common research studies have a value in the academic/scientific world. Considering the research efforts related to use of Computer Science and computational tools to improve the engineering solutions, technological innovations are happening in a very fast manner. So, especially for technical research fields, there is always need to collect the latest research outcomes from international researchers and organize them in common articles or book projects to keep the literature up-to-date. In order to meet with this, the 5th International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Applied Mathematics in Engineering (ICAIAME) was held in Belek, Antalya, Turkey.
