Elżbieta Romanowska, head of the Department of Molecular Plant Physiology, University of Warsaw Education: PhD, habilitation and full professor in plant physiology and biochemistry, University of Warsaw Post-doc: biochemistry, Mainz and Lund University About 100 publications; 10 personal grants Selected honours: Elected President of Polish Botanical Society; Elected Member of Botanical Committee and Organismal Biology of Polish Academy of Science Member of International Society of Photosynthesis Awards received: 2 collective and individual scientific award, Golden Cross of Merit for scientific activity of Polish Ministry of Science and High Education; 17 individual and 4 collective awards of Rector of Warsaw University for scientific activity; Medal of the National Education Commission Research interests structure and function of photosynthetic apparatus of C3 and C4 plants under stress conditions; thylakoid complexes; antioxidant and carbon metabolism enzymes; content and distribution of metabolites.
