Carlos Restrepo received a Bachelor's degree (with honors) and a Master's degree in electrical engineering in 2006 and 2007, respectively, from the Universidad Tecnol�gica de Pereira, Colombia, and a Master's degree and a Ph.D. (with honors) in electronic engineering from the Universitat Rovira i Virgili de Tarragona, Tarragona, Spain, in 2008 and 2012, respectively. He was a visiting scholar in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, University of Maribor, Slovenia, in 2011. He is currently a professor with the Departamento de Ingenier�a El�ctrica, Universidad de Talca, Curic�, Chile. His main research interests include modeling and emulator design for fuel cells, design and digital control of switched converters, and energy management of hybrid electric vehicles. He is director of the Laboratory of Applications in Smart Grids (LARI in Spanish) research group.
