The Future Evidence Foundation aspires to dramatically improve lives by changing the way the world creates and uses trustworthy knowledge. We have been at the forefront of global efforts to strengthen systems for evidence-informed action and policy for a decade. The launch of the Alliance for Living Evidence (Alive) represents the next horizon in our impact. Today there is lots of duplication and waste in producing summaries of science (i.e. systematic reviews). Essentially, the same systematic reviews get produced over and over again. We’ve innovated a new model where evidence users with overlapping needs procure one systematic review on a topic and share the associated costs. Under this model, evidence is produced once but used many times. This business model innovation reduces the costs of evidence, making it possible for more organisations to use evidence in decision-making.
