My submission (Jim Rumph)

[edit]

Hi there. You were helping me back in August, and then I think you went on vacation. Are you still able to help me? It was for my submission for Jim Rumph.

Thanks. Tallstop99 (talk) 14:54, 23 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Tallstop99, sure thing- what further help would you like? Qcne (talk) 14:59, 23 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! I answered your questions here User talk:Qcne/Archives/2024/August in the "Review my submission please" and was wondering if you needed anything else from me. Tallstop99 (talk) 16:46, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, sorry, I did indeed miss that notification. I think those sources would just about put us over the edge for notability. However- the draft will need a re-write before acceptance. If you let me know once you've re-written I can take another look. Qcne (talk) 19:10, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your feedback. I'll get it rewritten per your suggestion. Tallstop99 (talk) 13:08, 28 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have rewritten the draft. Please let me know what you think. Draft:Jim Rumph Tallstop99 (talk) 20:44, 15 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Much better, @Tallstop99. Some more feedback:
- Please remove the Legacy section, as it is unencyclopedic.
- Please either find sources for the Personal Life and Early Life, reuse your existing citations if they are relevant, or remove the information if no sources can be found.
Let me know how you get on. Qcne (talk) 20:46, 15 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! I have made your suggested changes. Please review. Tallstop99 (talk) 14:44, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think that's passed now, so have accepted for you @Tallstop99. Please add some WP:CATEGORIES to the new article.:) Qcne (talk) 20:06, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Wow! That's awesome, thanks!!
I will add some categories.
One more question. I want to add a picture of him too, but originally got told it looked like it was copyrighted or something (it wasn't), so I skipped that part. What's the best way to get a picture added? Tallstop99 (talk) 20:20, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Tallstop99 Images are a difficult one on Wikipedia- by default we assume every image is copyrighted and cannot be used unless it comes with a very specific license. If you can find one that is definitely compatible with Wikipedia you can upload it to Wikimedia Commons, a separate website but part of the Wikimedia Foundation, and add to the article; instructions here: WP:IMAGES Qcne (talk) 21:18, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Great. Thanks for all of your help! Tallstop99 (talk) 21:34, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Draft: Ajob Karkhana

[edit]

Hello sir/mem, this user Wikisandboxe submitted for AFC the page Draft:Ajob Karkhana before I fully prepared this draft page!! And you were declined it!! But now the page is completely ready. Now I think you should review this page. Mr Bangladesh71 (talk) 17:52, 28 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

= my submission (Focus.enterprise) No, I can assure you that my article is 100 percent written by me. No AI's have the knowledge of the unreleased album as far as I stated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Focus.enterprise (talkcontribs) 18:02, 12 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Focus.enterprise That's interesting, as it is written in a way that suggests highly it was written by AI.
In any case, we cannot accept articles about unreleased albums where the only source is the album booklet itself. Qcne (talk) 18:10, 12 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ah yes, I see. I have noticed that I seem to respond like a machine. I apologize but I can assure you I am not using AI, and I understand on the sourcing part, as this is my first time ever writing I struggle to source. In my newer submission I believe I fixed the issue. Focus.enterprise (talk) 18:14, 12 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Draft:Speaking community to trans atlantic african slaves traded ratio

[edit]

Dear Qcne, I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide me with some feedback on why my article did not meet the acceptance criteria. I would be grateful for any guidance you can offer to help me improve it. Thank you for your time and dedication. 194.38.172.194 (talk) 09:17, 1 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary insanity (album) question

[edit]

Hello! I appreciate the feedback, as in it only helps me improve. I can assure you that my article was not created by an AI as in no AI's share the same knowledge as me on the album. If you have further questions, I don't mind at all to answer, thank you for the question. Focus.enterprise (talk) 18:08, 12 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to ask you why you rejected the document 'Gimcheon High School'

[edit]

Hello, I am currently a student at Gimcheon High School in South Korea. I would like to upload information about our school to Wikipedia. However, I am asking you because it was rejected for various reasons, and I modified it based on this, but did not follow the purpose of Wikipedia. Can you tell me what is the problem? Tjoy0314 (talk) 12:43, 13 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Tjoy0314 your draft was still written in a completely unacceptable manner and there is no indication the school meets our notability requirements. We require significant coverage in multiple independent sources - all your sources were primary. Qcne (talk) 13:37, 13 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Request on 04:03:46, 15 October 2024 for assistance on AfC submission by KumudRanjanm

[edit]

I wish to publish the article and I am unable to understand what kind of reference exactly needed. I have inserted the weblink of the university, about this project, which hosts the research project. I have provided the weblink of principle investigators of the project regarding their identity.

KumudRanjanm (talk) 04:03, 15 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @KumudRanjanm, I am afraid we need independent' sources, i.e. sources that are not in any way affiliated with the University or the project. This could be in the form of newspaper/magazine articles that discuss the project?
If those independent sources do not exist then I am afraid an article is not yet merited. Perhaps when the research project has finished and the results have been reported on in independent publications might an article be possible.
Let me know if you have any questions. Qcne (talk) 12:47, 15 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to participate in a research

[edit]

Hello,

The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Wikipedia, and what affects administrator retention. We will use this research to improve experiences for Wikipedians, and address common problems and needs. We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this anonymous survey.

You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.

The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement .

Please find our contact on the project Meta page if you have any questions or concerns.

Kind Regards,

WMF Research Team
